This 25,800 gallon (US) non-coiled, insulated tank car has been designed to meet DOT 105 specifications and has a 263,000 lb gross rail load for the transportation of vinyl chloride (VCM). The car is equipped with a 22-5/8 inch manway, and a 300 psi tank test pressure. Top fittings consisting of 2- and 3-inch valves and a 60-inch MGD. This car is not heated, but does come equipped with 3-inch thick fiberglass insulation bonded to a 0.65 inch thick thermal ceramic blanket. Various options for loading/unloading valve configurations are available depending on the service requirements.
